With built-in session persistence and the ability to provide both outbound and inbound load balancing using our ActiveDNS technology. The Edge2WAN also has an application level stateful inspection firewall which can be enabled to provide complete protection against Internet threats along with enterprise class web content filtering. Unique to the Edge2WAN is its Best Path Routing module which monitors SLA levels to ensure that network sessions always take the best path.

Scenario #2 - Secure VoIP Assurance

Problem
Many businesses are finding that they have several critical applications which require higher QoS (Quality of Service) over other non-critical traffic. One of these applications which is quickly growing in popularity is VoIP or Voice over the Internet. Companies are finding that VoIP must be prioritized and that they need some type of redundancy for their VoIP connectivity.

Utilizing the Edge2WAN companies are not only able to prioritize VoIP streams, but also guarantee these streams a fixed amount of bandwidth to ensure quality voice calls even during periods of high network utilization. In the event of a WAN failure, outbound calls will automatically be redirected over the remaining active Internet links.

Scenario #3 - Automated VPN Failover

Problem
For organizations with multiple offices, ensuring connectivity to those offices can become business critical. Many IPSec based solutions are extremely limited in their ability to failover in the event of a network outage. Other solutions are typically either too expensive or overly complicated for an SMB environment.

Solution
Deployment of a Edge2WAN-55 and several Edge2WAN-50 series appliances. By using our Site2Site tunneling technology organizations are able to easily configure automated VPN failover across any number of broadband connections. Customers may also choose to keep their existing private line T1/Frame Relay or MPLS link and simply use a VPN connection in the event the private link were to fail.
