ISP Offloading

What is ISP Offloading? The ability to offload or re-direct network traffic has been around since the birth of the network routing, however the BGPproxy controller enables this to be done within an existing BGP neighborhood without making direct modifications to the BGP routes themselves.

How It Works

XRoads Networks utilizes its application routing functionality to re-route sessions based on an analysis of our customers network traffic and usage patterns. Using its XFlow reporting engine, the BGPproxy controller can, within a few hours of installation, determine which remote networks are being accesses the most often and provide guideance with regards to which applications and/or network connections should be routed over which BGP network links.

Application routing can be enable via re-directs placed within the customers firewall, primary BGP gateway router, or allowed to occur dynamically by placing the BGPproxy in bridge mode (where available).
